These monies help to pay the tuition required for childcare services. Families qualify for assistance based on a sliding fee scale after evaluating evidence of need and availability of funds. Funds are used to help subsidize a portion of the tuition and/or parent co-pays assessed by the county.

The goal is to allow families to access our quality childcare while they are striving to reach financial independence.

A gift of any amount to the scholarship fund is helpful. The average cost of childcare is $240 per week, per child. Even if families qualify for county assistance, their monthly co-pays can be as high as $800 per month. Scholarship funds help to fray that cost by 5 to 50%.

The following items are needed on an on-going basis:

• Diapers
• Crayons and Markers
• Reams of Copy Paper
• Bottles of Bleach
• Facial Tissue and Rolls of Paper Towels

Donated items can be dropped off at MetroKids Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
