Volunteers
We love having volunteers at MetroKids because it enriches the lives of the children and families in our care.
There are many ways you can become involved at MetroKids. Ideas for ways to volunteer at MetroKids are always welcome!
Some examples include:
- Interacting and playing with children and rocking babies
- Sharing your talents with the children such as music, storytelling, your career, etc.
- Help maintain equipment and facilities
- Assist in organization of fundraising events such as book drives, garage sales, selling excess equipment on Craig’s list
- Participate in the implementation of our Annual Donor Appreciation Dinner and Christmas and Easter Family gatherings
- Office help such as copying, filing, mailings, etc.
- Chaperone field trips
- Organize and implement special classroom events
- Babysit for monthly staff meetings
